Objective: Ensure the commercial kitchen mixer is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised according to Australian safety standards to maintain hygiene and quality standards.

Applicable PPE (Personal Protective Equipment):

  • Disposable gloves (where applicable)
  • Apron or protective clothing
  • Closed toe shoes.



  • Gather all necessary equipment and materials, including cleaning supplies and PPE.
  • Ensure the kitchen mixer is unplugged or disconnected from power to prevent accidental activation.
  • Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before beginning the cleaning process.


  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to disassemble the commercial kitchen mixer.
  • Place the disassembled parts on a clean and sanitised surface.


  • Wear applicable PPE.
  • Wipe down the components with a microfibre cloth to remove any remaining residue.


  • Once all components are completely cleaned, reassemble the coffee grinder components according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Ensure all parts are securely fitted and aligned properly.

Final Inspection:

  • Conduct a visual inspection to ensure all parts are clean, sanitized, and properly assembled.
  • Dispose of any used cleaning materials and coffee grounds in designated waste receptacles.
  • Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after completing the cleaning procedure.


  • Maintain records of the cleaning procedures performed on the coffee grinder, including dates and cleaning agents used.
